Summer Patterns 101
The sun is shining and so we firmly believe it’s time to liven up your wardrobe. It might be your last chance to before the weather cools off, and we’re all back to wrapping up in chunky knits. Prints not only brighten up your wardrobe, but in our humble opinion, they also brighten up our moods. Try wearing a bright and fun shirt and being in a bad mood, it’s simply not possible.
Florals:
Bright, bold, and honestly just joy-enducing flowers are our go-to this summer. We’ve got bold red and blue florals, muted distorted florals in yellow, and dark and sultry florals. So whether you’re hitting the beach, or the bars after dark, there’s something for you.
And if florals may not be your thing, maybe they’re too out there, or whatever your reasoning is, we get it. But entertain us here for a second… abstract florals are the perfect middle ground. Don’t like the traditional petal shapes? Or maybe it’s the colours that floral shirts are traditionally available in, or maybe you have an irrational hatred of Hawaiian shirts and think it’s too close. Well, abstract and distorted florals may just be for you… florals but not as you know them. Enter our Watercolour Floral Shirt.
Stripes:
Honestly, we could talk all day about our love for stripes, but we shan’t bore you. Instead allow us this paragraph.. Stripes are flattering (who doesn’t love a slimming print?!) and trans-seasonal. There is no time that stripes aren’t appropriate; trying to dress down a suit? Throw a striped t-shirt underneath, want to look effortlessly stylish? Striped Didcot shirt and you’re off. What’s more, you can have multiple striped pieces in different colours, and you don’t need to feel guilty because they’re all so different.
Checks:
Last, but by no means last. Let’s discuss the wonder and versatility of the check print. Give your wardrobe the ultimate update with this essential print. A check shirt is the ultimate dressed-down smart option; simply pair with chinos, or shorts, or our Kurt trousers for an elevated everyday look. A check shirt needn’t just be worn with a suit. Alternatively a check jacket immediately brings a sense of warmth to an outfit, whether you’re throwing it on over a t-shirt and jeans, pairing with shorts, or layering under a coat. And what’s more, you can always wear checks with another print and somehow they clash perfectly for that effortlessly-cool look. Need we say more?
