At Wax, fabric comes first. Colour does too. What excites us most is how they come together - working in sync to bring out the best in every piece.

Spring and summer are where that relationship really comes into its own. Texture feels more alive, more visible - and colour is what brings it forward. The right shade doesn’t just sit on a fabric, it breathes life into it. It’s an approach that runs through everything we do, but it’s most clearly expressed in our short-sleeve shirts and warm-weather knitwear.

When the sun hits, short-sleeve shirts follow. They’re to the season what a car horn is to a London cabbie - a constant go-to, always within reach. That easy, breezy feel starts with fabric: breathable linen, fluid viscose, and lightweight cottons laying the foundation for sun-drenched days. Alongside punchy electric greens, soft pastels, and vibrant watercolour washes, it’s in the details where everything comes to life - where our designers’ handwriting is felt most clearly. Finely detailed embroidery, appliquéd shapes drawn from nature and geometry, and corded lace textures add depth and character.

Knitwear, on the other hand, can feel unexpected in spring - almost like an oxymoron. But again, it comes down to fabric. Heavier wools and cashmeres give way to lightweight cottons and linen blends, often in open-knit constructions. Think light-gauge cotton polos, crochet textures, and pointelle details in button-through silhouettes - all brought to life through considered colour and subtle vintage cues, whether in bold bases or finer accents.

Together, our short-sleeve shirts and warm-weather knitwear form some of our most considered and detailed offerings to date - perfectly in step with the golden season.
