Changes

A new season is upon us and the legendary song by Bowie goes well with our transitional pieces. Photographed by Anaick Crozon, modelled by Jos Whiteman.

Surfing in Biarritz, France

On his way to the French coast, we packed photographer Vincent LeChapelain’s bag full of our tees and hoodies and asked him to document a day surfing with his friends wearing our stuff. Shot on film in Biarritz, France.

The Filmmaker

Filmmaker, Swedish native, and childhood friend of Wax’s Creative Director Steffy, Christoffer Sevholt, lends his passion and expertise to working on productions for Sweden’s answer to the BBC, SVT, and post production agency Shoot&Post. Unsurprisingly this has translated into an intrigue for and understanding about the chameleon-like nature of Swedish landscape, and its role in Swedish cinema.

The Tailor

Tailor Frida Fredricson realised her passion for sewing while watching her then housemate (of which Wax’s Steffy is also a former) create garments in their shared home. Instantly in awe of the art of creating something from scratch, Frida has a true love for the bespoke and the handmade. We sat down with her to discuss finding her niche, the importance of a personal connection with the customer, sustainable fashion and the key differences between men’s and women’s tailoring.

The Navarino Mac

Each season we create a Hero product, as a means of giving something back through donations to a charity that Wax has a personal affiliation to. Wax's AW16 Hero product is the Navarino wax coated mac. A percentage of the profits from the coat will go to the Pardada Pardadi Educational Society in India, where Wax founder Rich has family roots.

Mai Nestor photographs Isaak Julin around Delsjön, a much-loved lake in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Ed Twitchett – The Coffee Connoiseur

Coffee king and old friend of Wax founder Tom, Ed Twitchett, lives in Bath, home also to his four-year-old company Round Hill Roastery. Ed is a coffee connoisseur in the real sense. His opinion derives from passion rather than caffeinated snobbery, and he'll stop at nothing to deliver the cup of all cups.

Early Sunday Morning

Anaick Crozon is responsible for all of Wax London’s SS16 shoots, including the ensuing Early Sunday Morning images. South Bank is striking, beautiful, ugly, strange and iconic all at once. It’s steeped in culture, and is the very essence of London. The clean lines, simple shapes and precise angles echo Wax London’s designs, and provided a compelling backdrop for our architectural shoot.

Fred Page

For the first instalment of our Portrait series, I sat down with singer-songwriter and friend of Wax London Fred Page, to discuss comfort, credibility and Kurt Cobain. Fred might be my boyfriend, but that didn’t stop me being surprised by some of his musings. His penchant for black on the other hand, is something I’m familiar with.

The Fleetwood Hoodie

Wax London aspires to forge close relationships with their producers. The very essence of the brand requires that they learn from and listen to not only their muses, friends and consumers, but also those at the very core of the company. Those who can offer a different perspective entirely.

Daniel Nørregaard

Spotted by Steffy on a platform at Highbury & Islington station, Daniel Kang Yoon Nørregard was street casted by Wax London on account of his striking look. Believing that she was casting the net far and wide, we were reminded that everyone really is connected by six degrees of separation when Steffy and Daniel found they had mutual friends in her home city Gothenburg.
