Success! You're on the list.

Designed with versatility in mind, our Whiting overshirt is an all year round staple and mainstay to every collection, it is made to be dressed up or down any which way you like. Wear it as a shirt, a mid-layer, or a jacket.

Our Whiting Overshirts are created using fabric made sustainably by a family-run French mill using recycled cotton, environmentally-friendly Corozo nut buttons and front patch pocket. The cotton threads are broken down as much as possible and then re-spun and dyed to create the rich blend of colours and patterns you see in our Whiting Overshirts. All of our Whiting Overshirts are made from a hard-wearing and heavyweight fabric with a sturdy structure and texture that is woven exclusively for Wax.

All our buttons are made from natural corozo nuts – meaning they’re a more responsible and durable alternative to plastic.

We value the embodied energy within garments and textiles, so above all prefer to use recycled cotton where possible. The production of recycled cotton requires fewer chemicals, water and energy than conventional or organic cotton. And when it comes to dyeing, there’s often no need – since old fabrics are sorted by colour as part of the recycling process. Instead, expert spinners will blend the old materials with some new to strengthen and create the durable, rich tones seen here.

When using recycled cotton, we work hard with our suppliers to ensure the fabrics meet the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) or the Recycled Content Standard (RCS).
